6th July, 2012 - On Friday, the Minister for Industry and Innovation, Greg Combet launched the 'Clean Technology Innovation Program'.
This program is part of the Clean Energy Future package and adds to the $1 billion Clean Technology Investment Programs AusIndustry is delivering. These programs are part of the Government’s Clean Energy Future package (www.cleanenergyfuture.gov.au) - a Whole of Government initiative to help Australian businesses adapt and prosper in a low carbon economy.
The Clean Technology Innovation Program provides $200 million in funding over five years to 2016-17 and a wide range of projects are expected with grants ranging from $50,000 to $5 million.
It will help businesses to find innovative ways of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through applied research and development, proof-of-concept and early stage commercialisation clean technology projects.
AusIndustry is hosting a number of national information sessions, with the Melbourne event scheduled for 9.30am sharp Thursday 19 July, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
