Dr Phil Kearney, MSD, elected to the board of the BioMelbourne Network

16 December 2011. Dr Phil Kearney, Director-Licensing & External Research, Merck Sharp & Dohme has been elected to the Board of the BioMelbourne Network today as a Nominated Member.

 

The Board of the BioMelbourne Network and the management group warmly welcomed Dr Kearney to the organsiation at the December board meeting.  Dr Kearney has represented Merck Sharp and Dohme as a member of the BioMelbourne Network since 2007.

 

‘I’m delighted that Dr Kearney has been elected as a nominated member’, said Ms Michelle Gallaher, CEO of the BioMelbourne Network.    ‘This has been one of the most successful periods for the Network with the greatest number of new members recorded since the establishment years and advocacy on key issues such as R&D tax returning an excellent result for the sector.’ 

 

Ms Maureen O’Keefe, General Manager, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, joined the BioMelbourne Network board in August 2011.    Ms O’Keefe and Dr Kearney take up the places vacated by Dr Andy Gearing and Mr Niall Byrne as they retired from the board after many years of outstanding service.
