Have you ever raked over government and philanthropic web site searching for grants that might suit your organisation and found the process to be utterly confusing and an excruciatingly frustrating practice ? Are you eligible or not ? Finally you find one, read everything to discover that it closed last week ? Who hasn’t?
A comprehensive grant strategy is something that few of us can honestly admit to have developed – a list of relevant funding sources, a calendar of due dates and a review of guidelines and inclusion criteria.
The Grant Writing Master Class on 9 October 2009 at KPMG will give you head start in getting this activity underway for your organisation and a framework to develop future strategies for your organisation. This BioWorkshop will cover the requirements to achieve success in grant seeking. The session will focus on business grants and specific opportunities for the Biotech sector.
Key topics to be covered include:
1. What government wants
2. Developing a targeted grant strategy
3. Effective grant writing
4. Know what your assessor thinks
5. Philanthropic funding opportunities
6. Upcoming opportunities from DIIRD
You will learn essential strategies and techniques to improve your success rates. Practical sessions will be run on the different writing styles that should be used for the various grant types.
The BioWorkshop will also cover Philanthropic grants and the sorts of criteria used in assessing these applications. Experts will be on hand to provide inside knowledge and tips.
