Neopec Pty Ltd (Melbourne) is a recent spin-out company of the O'Brien Institute, and is funded by a Victorian Government science and innovation grant. NEOPEC is developing a method of breast tissue regeneration which uses a combination of a medical device and a surgical procedure to entice a woman's own regenerative capacity to grow living fat for breast reconstruction following mastectomy. NEOPEC is being supported by a collaboration of Victorian-based organisations which bring together world-leading research with commercialisation experience designed to speed development of the NEOPEC product and bring it to market.
