The Network is designed as the facilitation body supporting a "community of interest" within Victoria’s biotechnology industry.

BioMelbourne Network ‘Member Services’ support and encourage our members to cooperatively engage with each other and guide the development of our industry.

    4. Cost reduction and efficiency gains  e.g. immigration, taxation, insurance & corporate governance
    5. Selling Victoria to Scientists
    6. Attracting and retaining talented professionals
    7. Promoting Science careers to secondary students.

Business Matching and Investment Attraction

Competitive intelligence, technical intelligence, referral sources for business development leads, consortia and bid coordination. Local and international "network of networks" of industry associations and government trade agencies to facilitate investment opportunities

Develop and promote the Victorian Biotechnology brand identity internationally:

  • Victorian branding materials and marketing support for members
  • P.R. and advertising strategies internationally

  • Event coordination internationally
  • Support programs to increase awareness of the benefits of the biotechnology industry with the general public
  • Support programs to promote scientific careers to Victorians

Hosting international biotechnology trade and inbound investment delegations

Attracting international science, pharmaceutical and biotechnology conferences to Melbourne
